| Lagos by day is a busy commercial centre. Shopping is an absolute delight with establishments catering for every taste and an abundance of little boutiques. At night, the town still retains its charm when the wide choice of bars and restaurants come alive, spilling out onto the streets and squares. | |

Meia Praia is one of the longest sandy beaches in Portugal, and whatever the time of year - it never appears to be crowded. There are several interesting beach bars and the food is excellent. Nearest Restaurant - The Mandarin, a highly commended chinese restaurant, is only a short walk or, for the lazy holidaymaker, short drive away. The marina also boasts several restaurants and is nearby. Nearest Supermarket - Pingo Doce has a superb food selection and is just a few minutes by car. Intermarche is a little further but it is well sign posted and there is a wide choice in Lagos. Nearest Golf
Course - Palmares is around 7 minutes drive via Meia Praia and
Penina, Parque de Floresta and Boa Vista are all reasonably close. A
wide variety of challenges are on offer. Essentials - On any visit to the Algarve, a rental car is an essential requirement. Whilst the taxi services in Lagos are excellent, public transport leaves a lot to be desired. |
